Air Alaska strengthens in Boise; now on 8 non-stop itineraries.

As Alaska Airlines strengthens its western footprint, it announces a new service between Boise and Spokane, Wash. Starting August 24, the Alaska Air subsidiary Horizon Air will operate two round trips a day between the towns with a 66-seater Bombardier Q400 turbo-prop-plane. "Boise Spokane is a very popular and important destination for us and for travelers in the Pacific Northwest," says John Kirby, VP of Alaska Air's VP of Capacity planning, in a declaration.

Alaska Air now offers a non-stop flight to eight points from Boise. "We are pleased that Alaska Airlines has expanded its services at Boise Airport," says Rebecca Hupp, Director of Boise Airport, about Boise's KTVB Channel 7. "Now Alaska will have eight flights to eight western cities, most of them in Boise.

Boise-Spokane clients can collect twice as many points from 24 August to 24 September. Clients must sign up for the flight on the Alaska Air website before the flight. The Alaska Air Spokane is the third new flight for Boise to be launched in 2015. In May Delta will provide a non-stop flight to Seattle, while the recreational airline Allegiant Air will start its flight to Los Angeles in June.
