Flight 8 Alaska AirlinesPaine Field's All-Jet services link Paine Field to Las Vegas, Phoenix and Portland airfields and California airfields in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose. The flight frequency for each target and the flight and landing schedules will be published later this year, pending agreement by the State.
It is part of the effort of Alaska Airlines to become the "go-to carrier for everyone who lives on the West Coast", according to a press release from Tuesday. Alaska' s Horizon Air company will operate the flight from Paine Field with its new Embraer E175 jet. An Alaska said it will provide three levels of service:
Tuesday an in-house corporate memo for staff said Horizon will get the flight, provided the lack of aircraft that afflicted the carrier in 2017 and resulted in several hundred flight cancellation in the autumn is successfully remedied by the plans to recruit and educate a significant number of new aircraft this year.
Already Alaska operates non-stop services from Seattle to 90 major cities with the most non-stop west coast services of any carrier. Beginning in the autumn of this year, United Airlines is also planning to offer six day services from Paine Field to the Denver and San Francisco hub for passengers. Propeller Airports, a New York-based privately held company, and Snohomish County are constructing the new Paine Field Airliner.
