Transport from ANC Airport to Downtown Anchorage

There are not many good ways to reach downtown Anchorage if you have a long stay at Anchorage Airport. This is not a good choice for a single traveller who only wants to come from the airport for a few shorthrs. By Public Transport - Anchorage has finite buses, but her Peoples Mover has a downtown routing that seems pretty fast.

Route 7 takes you to the city centre, which travels about once an hour. Take this route. 10 One-Way Shortcut - I couldn't find this facility anywhere on-line, but as soon as I got to the airport, I found that BAC offers One-Way Shortcuts to downtown hotel accommodation for only $10! Ticket sales are available at the airport near the airport landing area.

It was a great relieve for me to have the pod. Looks like I could take the last local buses at 8 pm, which would give me 2 1/2 hrs in downtown before my plane back, but still means I'd pay for a taxi on the way back - a grand $40 just to walk downtown and have a quick one.

In fact, with the shuttles I actually book a room in the Sheraton for 7,000 points (while on the bus), so I could take a bath, recharge all my electronic and enjoy some top view before going back to the airport with the big black eyes, all for only 22 dollars.

In fact, our chauffeur gave us a continuous comment on the inner -city choices between bus shelters. Accompany Keri and Jeanne on their way to the top in terms of kilometres, top class performance and of course the best travelling gear.
