Bangkok Taxi Receipt
Bankok taxi receiptTaxis Bangkok - Rates & Information
In Bangkok, there are 150,000 cabs. Each taxi is measured with a 35 Baht entry charge for the first 3 kilometres and then 5 Baht per kilometre. Many taxi businesses and different colored cabs exist, but the cost and rates are the same. Bangkok cabs have to turn on their counters.
In this case, the price increases by about 5 Baht per kilometre or by a certain amount of space of your journey if you are stuck in a congestion. In Bangkok, the price for most journeys is on a 50 - 60 Baht basis. Your most costly journey will probably be to Bangkok's central Bangkok hub, Bangkok's central hub, Sofanabhumi International Park, which will be about 300 Baht.
Taxi cabs take you almost anywhere as long as it is within their working hours, as most people have to give their taxi back at the end of their shifts. Pattaya is in the order of 2000 Baht, but that's an estimation. A few telephone numbers for Bangkok cabs are:
In addition to the counter charge, you are also liable for motorway road charges. You are quicker to use than normal streets and if you are in a rush, ask the rider to drive "with the Tang-duan" or "on the expressway". Road pricing for the highway is between 25 and 45 Baht, with 45 Baht being the mean.
The one for 45 Baht, the other for 25 Baht, but this may vary depending on the itinerary your rider has. It' possible to call for a taxi instead of calling one. When you call a taxi, the dispatch centre sends a call to find the closest taxi, and one is quick with you.
An extra charge of 20 Baht is levied for this use. It' not on the counter, so you will have it added to the counter charge later. Do you think you should tip off taxis in Bangkok? The tip for the taxi rider after the end of the journey is not necessary, although rounded up the number on the counter makes things simple for the rider to quickly overpay you.
Suppose the counter comes to 90 baht. Probably in this case we would just give a 100 Baht mark and get out instead of looking for the right amount. When the counter was 35 Baht, we would give 40 Baht, but when the counter was 40 Baht, we would simply give 40 Baht.
Never give away a 500 or 1,000 Baht ticket for shorter distances. Bangkok taxi's different colors represent the business and not the costs. Each taxi measured must have the same fare for the route travelled and/or the amount of travel they make in the taxi. Currently there are no taxi vouchers issued, but this will be implemented soon, so you can get a small bill for the amount billed to you.
We had a taxi that gave us one, but it must have been a test taxi because we haven't had one since. In the past the green and green cabs were newer, but many have age. In Bangkok, a taxi company rents black and white cabs. Driver hire cabs for the whole working days and because driver do not own them, they are less cautious and you generally find that these driver have less endurance and in their work.
As a general principle, however, the older the taxi, the more tolerant the taxi operator. It' either that or the rider is really old and it takes twice as long to get somewhere. All the other colors or the monochrome Bangkok cabs are quite new and you will experience a quieter drive.
The taxi number is inside the taxi, at the front entrance. Taxi are available from departure and arrival. On arrival, there is a taxi rank directly in front of the check-in desk, just go to the taximeter desk, tell it your location and it will give you a note in the form of a white card, which you then give to the taxi attendant in the line to the right of the desk.
A 50 Baht supplement will be charged for this type of road and there will be no road charges. Therefore you will have to bear the counter charge + 50 Baht + any applicable road-charges. But the only "problem" with taking one of these cabs is that it is very hard to turn down an old-looking taxi.
As soon as you have your taxi tickets, take what is given to you; old or new. As an alternative, you can go to the arrival area and try to get one of the cabs that just drop someone off. Thus you avoid the extra charge of 50 Baht. has a taxi line system, which is located in front of the front and back entrances.
Queues of pedestrians line up while taxi drivers enter the taxi stop area to set down and take in new arrivals. One Siam Paragon has designated guard to ask you for your goal and then scream through a bullhorn by the cabs to find out which rider wants to go to your goal.
But, as with the above question, you can't pick your trip and you can get trapped with the taxi and the taxi cabbie from hell. It is not the Siam Paragon reserves, Central Chidlom has a waiting line from his side door and the location is similar there. The Bangkok taxi is generally quite secure, but there are accounts of robbery and rape when picking up passengers from the airports.
If you join one of these taxi stand waiting lines, you decrease the likelihood that this will happen because the taxi stand number and its location have been captured, so join a waiting line instead of calling one yourself. Now if you've ever had a Red Bull, you'll know it cheers you up a little, but a Thai Red Bull release is like three bottle drink in the West, and these riders could come through 2 or 3 bottle a night and frequent use paired with insomnia can make a rider a little mad and they go quickly and ride unpredictably, but the poor old days of biking and screaming seem to be over.
And if a rider drives too quickly, ask him to drive slower... just say "cha cha", which means slower. Just await the prettier cabs. When you don't like the look of the taxi that is holding for you, swing it further and buy a newer one. When you take a taxi later in the evening from a friend's house, get your boyfriend to go to the taxi with you and go through the movements of noting the taxi number.
It is not the number but the number on the front of the taxi AND on a sticker placed on each front of the taxi. When you are travelling alone in a taxi, you may want to call a boyfriend and give him the taxi number. The majority of cabs have a photograph of the rider along with their driver's licence on the dashboard of the taxi they are in.
When there is none or the picture doesn't correspond to the taxi cab owner, you might want to start waiting for another taxi. That' s going to seem like a strange thing, but because it's increasingly going on in cabs we've taken, we think it's deserving of a note and that's the terrible odor some cabs have inside.
It' s odd that the same odour can be found in so many of these cabs. There' gotta be a cab fare where they all have the same meal. A taxi we recently got was so poor that we went all the way home with the window fully down.
