United Kingdom head of mission schedule

British Ambassadorial Officers are usually British diplomats, with the exception of Commonwealth of Nations member states where the Chief of Staff is a High Commissar. As a rule, the Chief of Mission within an IFO is a standing delegate. There are no direct military ties with Taiwan; the Bureau acts as an informal ombudsman.

In a number of Member States, the United Kingdom does not have a full diplomatic or consular post. However, in each case the leader of the missions to another county, usually a neighboring county, is also recognized in the other county (with the exception of the Haitian and Honduran Ambassadors, who are committed but not resident).

For the most part, a smaller-scale, locally-based emergency response operation is led by a smaller number of diplomats or a member of the British LGBT communion.
