But the most serious problem of all, but it is different, it is the inadequacy of the institutional mechanisms on which we depend when making public decisions. Anyone who tries to rethink the administration begins a truly daunting process because the administration is such a complex, multifaceted institution with so many relationships and responsibilities; from defense to trade, from civil order to health care, to name a few.

We all know, as citizens, that our worst nightmare about our relationship with the government is to be wasted in a bureaucratic maze; mixed from place to place, waited for hours in long queues, incapable of finding or learning anything. The government has been investigating failures for years, and failures for years.

Our mission is to find companies that deliver results, satisfy customers and increase productivity. It' s not hard to find efficient, entrepreneurial public organizations. Throughout the world, the societies of the information age are clashing with the limits of the industrial era of government. Great Britain has it as a new Public Management Usa has titled it Reinvention Initiative.

However the name may be, the movement to reinvent the administration is motivated by absolute necessity. and it'?s just a matter of fixing them. Administrative management of the administration needs to be reviewed. First of all, they have abandoned their missionary spirit; they have abandoned their ethics of public service; and, most of all, they have abandoned the faith of the people.

and get less from our government. It' s opportune to make radical changes to the way the government works, to move from top-down bureaucracy to entrepreneurial government that empowers citizens and communities to transform our land from bottom to top. And the vision the book seeks is that of a government that works for human beings, free from useless bureaucracy and waste, free from bureaucracy and pointless rules.
