I' ve been hearing about returns tickets that are less expensive than a singles, but I just realized that multi-city travel where you don't go back to your initial home town is also less expensive than a sink. The first thing I planned to do was to take the plane to Munich-Vienna and then Vienna-Paris. Only if I buy airline tickets for MUC-VIE-CDG on a one way it is less expensive than buying a VIE-CDG one way ticketing (by more than half).

MeC-VIE-CDG is a one-stop plan, less comfortable than MeC-CDG non stop and so the airlines are offering a much lower tariff to fill airline tickets and take this much less comfortable itinerary. The VIE-CDG is continuous, therefore very comfortable and you are paying a great deal for this comfort. So if you really want to travel by rail and get your flight on and you want to avoid having to spend your extra cash, then take the rail to Vienna and a station to Paris (e.g. VIE-MUC-CDG or VIE-LHR-CDG) might be even less expensive.

Of course you could also watch the whole track by rail. MeC-VIE-CDG is a one-stop plan, less comfortable than MeC-CDG non stop and so the airlines are offering a much lower tariff to fill airline tickets and take this much less comfortable itinerary. Says it's still less expensive than MUC-CDG.

I can' t otherwise understand why he takes the trouble to drive through Vienna at all. That is why I also - somewhat ironically - proposed that, if they really wanted to, they could take the Munich to Vienna Train and then take a plane from Vienna back to Munich and on to Paris.
