Overview Gulfstream GIV-SP (1992 - 2002)

Gulfstream GIV and GIV-SP is a significantly enhanced, greater, longer term and progressive evolution of the previous GII and GIII. Rolls-Royce Tay power plants are the most significant GIV and GIV-SP enhancements compared to the previous Gulfstream power plants. Despite their higher engine power compared to the GII and GIII-Spey power plants, Rolls-Royce Tay power plants offer significant enhancements in terms of gas consumption and sound emissions.

Further changes include a lengthened hull and an aerodynamically and structurally enhanced aerofoil with 30% fewer parts, more propellant capability and reach, an enlarged rear wingspan and an EFIS enhanced electronics array with six colour CRTs. Gulfstream GIV-SP, a large cab business jet whose take-off mass is 1,400 lbs higher than GIV.

Its elongated hull offers six cab window per side and the newly structured wings are 870 pounds light and at the same time offer enough space for nearly 1,000 gal more gas. Since January 2014, the Gulfstream GIV-SP supermarket has been 100% second-hand. Sales percentages are 10.8%, 88% under an exclusivity brokers arrangement and the mean daily sales are 376 trading day.

As of September 1992, the enhanced Gulfstream GIV-SP (SP stands for Special Performance) with higher load and land weight and enhanced load capacity replaces the original version of the original version (there is, however, an ASC190 that allows an owner/operator to convert a vehicle to a GIV-SP). North America has the highest share (81%) of the 305 GIV-SP planes deployed by continents, followed by Asia (8%) and Europe (5%) (94%).

In addition, 32% of the GIV-SP jet fleets in service today are owned by the airline fleets, with the biggest NetJet fleets owning 18 of them. It is interesting to note that 18% of GIV SP jet airliners are rented. Gulfstream GIV-SP uses 415 gal per hours (GPH). GIV-SP's reach is 4,091 nm, which is operated under NBAA IFR 4 passenger with available propellant.

For the Gulfstream GIV-SP, the cab space is 1,525 cbm. This plane has a caboose and a toilet. Gulfstream GIV-SP MTOW is 74,600 lbs (33,839 kg) at a max reach of 4,148 nm.
