New Jersey Taxi Receipt
A New Jersey Taxi ReceiptDon't Use - Review of Newark Taxi Services, Newark, NJ
from Newark Airport to our Midtown Manhattan motel. You know, the clerk who organizes the line said it would be $57 plus toll and gave us a receipt, so we came in. But when we arrived at the guesthouse, the rider said it was 105 dollars! In an interview with the hotels personnel, they said it was because they were also paying for their way back and all toll fees.
90 percent of the taximeters in either red or blue are faulty or the driver does not switch on the counter. I' m living in Newark, trying not to use the taxis in Newark Penn. Most of my boyfriends and my relatives either go in or take a personal auto ride or take the City Subway (Newark Light Rail).
Me and my two kids 13 and 11 were taken from Newark to Midtown, which should have been $55 depending on the zone etc... the journey should have been. A receipt was given to us at the taxi station for 55 dollars, the taxi rider then billed me 90 dollars when I arrived at the hotel in Midtown, all he said was what he said......
Be careful if you take a taxi that asks for flat fares instead of metre prices, especially at lunchtime. That'?s what happens to me when I when I miss my transfer to the resort near Newark. Did you go to Newark Taxi Services?
