Ticket threads de l'explorateur en ligne de l'entreprise en ligne d'oneworld. It is the aim of this threads to gather some frequently asked questions about the most favourite ticket of one world, the Explore. It' a help in planing your huge circumnavigation with the airline companies of the on-eworld-Allianz. Although we try to be as precise as possible, please be aware that the formal regulations are changing.
It is the carrier that makes out your ticket that will have the last word on what the regulations are and how they are interpreted. Segments = a trip with a unique number between two towns, regardless of whether it is stopping between the point of departure and the point of arrival or not and whether an aeroplane switch takes place or not.
For example, SYD-JFK is one sector although it will stop at LAX, but NRT-HKT are two sectors (NRT-HKG, HKG-HKT) since there is not a flight number in the world between NRT and BKK. F, J, Y = the full fare reservation categories for First, Business and Economy Classe. *ONE* ticket discounts are usually A, D, or letter A for each category, but sometimes they use " J " as a general method to describe the category, for example.
F: With which airline can I travel with a ONE ticket? ATTENTION: Code-share travel of other partner/affiliate carriers is not allowed on this ticket. For example, QF missions, which are FJ (Air Pacific) code shares, are not qualifying. You can, for example, use an AA number that is actually used by BA.
Advantage of this is that it can help according to which airline affiliation you are associated with and what bonus is granted on these trips. F: What are the tariff's ground rules? What are the tariff's ground rules? What are the tariff's ground rules? One ticket around the world, so you have to travel both the Pacific and the Atlantic, but you can only do it once for each one.
Counts the continences, even if you only transfer there (e.g. stop in Asia on a European to Australia flight), and the counting contains the source continental. Please see below for tracking back tracking policy. a) one non-stop stopover in Asia on a journey between Europe and the SWP or the other way round, b) one non-stopover in North America on a journey between South America and the SWP, Asia or Europe or the other way round, c) two transits in Europe/Middle East for journeys originated in Africa, Africa - Africa - Europe/Middle East - RTW - Europe/Middle East - Africa,
Neither of the continental services, nor the services over the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, will be counted towards a continental supplement, although they will of course be counted towards your overall supplement of 16 segments. America - Within North America only one trans-continental air service is permitted between select east and west coast states. "Trans-continental " is understood as a journey between one of ATL/BWI/BOS/CLT/FLL/BDL/MIA/EWR/NYC/ORL/PHL/PIT/SJU/RDU/TPA/YYYZ/WAS/PBI and one of LAS/LGB/LAX/OAK/PHX/PDX/SAN/SFO/SJC/SNA/SEA/YVR.
Also in North America, only one leg between the USA and Hawaii is allowed (so if you want to go to Hawaii, you have to travel to/from Australia), and only one trip to/from ANC (Anchorage, Alaska) is allowed. Southwest Pacific - only one ticket is allowed within Australia: F: Can I take the QF from LAX-JFK (or the other way around) even if I don't have a QF out?
No. The precepts seem to allow it, but in reality QF doesn't. This is no longer allowed. You can, however, make "detours" without any restrictions, i.e. essentially buy the desired tariffs and add them to the ticket for call security. They are still restricted to a total of 16 sections on one ticket.
Where are the regulations? F: Where can I travel with ONE ticket? Book your ticket: F: The reservation categories are A (First), A ( Business) and L (Economy). When I buy a First-Class Ticket and there is no First-Class on my ticket, what happens then? C: That will depend on what you mean by "no first class".
" In the event that the seating stock (in this case A, but the same applies to D) is not available for the requested fare and you cannot obtain a fare with available stock, you will be demoted to the next available stock category (A goes to F and F to F) and no indemnity or reimbursement will be made.
With the exception of two US home air services of air travel category, if the aircraft is only one category (all Economy) or two categories (Economy and Business), you will be degraded and no indemnity or reimbursement will be paid. If you have a ticket for the D-Class on two U.S.-class and QR Middle East home travel routes, you can add it to your A (initial) stock at no additional cost, if available.
AE ( American Eagle ), AY and LA ( which are one grade except SCL-IPC of LA ) travel on all A and DA fares in the Full Price Economies (Y) stock pail, which means they are economic seats, but there should be a lot of uptime. F: Can I update some of the segment to our online shop or to our online shop now?
a) You may purchase your full travel route by payment of the higher rate, otherwise without penalties, depending on your availabilities; b) You may purchase AA Meal tickets for flights performed by AA; c) You may purchase AA Mileage tickets for internal travel performed by AA; and d) You may purchase AA Mileage tickets for internal travel performed by AA,
d ) Services performed by CX may be retrofitted with CX mileage, e ) Services performed and promoted by JL may be retrofitted with JL mileage, and f ) Services performed by QF may be retrofitted with QF miles/upgrade credit. If, for example, you've been in the BA business and you' been updated on WT+ for GBP200 to LHR-SIN on the boat, you'll only get the Advantage Economic mileage, not the WT+ mileage.
F: Can I retrofit some of the segment ation to travel in Superior Business City? For a surcharge, the cabins in Economy classes can be extended to CX,JL,QF Premier Cabins or BA World Traveller Plus cabins per segment. Bookings: This is done by keeping the date on the voucher (e.g. LHR-JFK) open even though you have chosen to travel this leg at some point.
They can do this because it is simpler to modify your itinerary. Once you have specified all your trip data and then had to make a modification at some point, you may have to modify all the connecting trips and not just the next one or two.
F: Can I make a difference? *ONE* is a fairly versatile ticket. Date and times can be changed free of cost and, depending on availabilty, you can switch the free one-world airline you wish to use as long as origin/destination and stopovers do not switch (e.g. BA to QF for a SYD-LHR flight).
Modifications that are not date/time (routing is the apparent change) will result in a $125 per ticket handling cost and the ticket will be re-issued with some airlines billing you a handling cost. Date and times changes are allowed free of cost, but route changes cause a $125 US shipping cost, and again some carrier charges a handling charge. In this case, the rule does not mean that changes in routeing are a remake (see below for what happens if the rule changes).
You can increase or decrease the number of continents/extra trip segment, and you will be debited or reimbursed accordingly. You will be billed the higher rate if you alter the date or hour of your first trip and the ticket rate has risen since you purchased the ticket. Cancellation prior to your scheduled travel will result in a 10% fine for North or South American origin ticket and no fine for other country origin ticket.
In the event that you need to terminate after your scheduled flight date, a 10% fine will be imposed on all ticket (s) except those that originate from the SWP (no penalty) or Japan (less than 10% fine or JPY50,000). Reimbursement can be made for the part of your ticket that has not been used, depending on the cost of the flight and the fine due.
F: What happens if the rule on my ticket changes or will do so? One: If the regulations are changed before your ticket is delivered, the new regulations will govern and you will need to modify any bookings that are not allowed under the new regulations. In the event that the regulations are changed after your ticket has been purchased, the regulations in effect at the time your ticket was purchased will govern.
However, be conscious - if after changing the policy you want to void the ticket or do something that is not allowed under the old policy, the ticket will be voided and re-issued and the new policy will be applied. When you are concerned about changing your policy and want to maximise your airport agility, adjust your last trip to 12 month after the date of your first trip (which is allowed).
For even more convenience, issue your ticket up to 12 month before your first trip (which is also allowed), which gives you an efficient 2 year block on the regulations as long as you don't modify that first one. F: How much does the ticket cost?
The basic ticket fare will depend on the number of Continental countries you are visiting, a minimum of three and a a maximum of six, and the departure state. Ateworld no longer releases a basic ticket pricing schedule. In addition to this basic ticket fare, there are additional fees and tax fees resulting from your travel route.
Please be aware that similar or even similar routes may have different prices according to which airline you are flying and/or using, as fees may differ according to airline and ticket sales. Childrens 2-11 and seated passengers are billed at 75% of the adults rate with the exception of Indian origin ticket where they are billed 67% of the adults rate.
F: If I spend the cash for an A-Ticket, which tracks still have "real" First-Class? This is a little of a mobile destination, but basically the following trails have the classic first classic services on a three-class machine (all also involve the reversed routes): The CX - CKG to LHR, JFK, LAX, YVR, FRA, SFO and CDG; some flight types TO HND, and unpredictable to NRT, SIN, BKKK, MNL, KIX, SEL, TPE and CGK.
LAX to JFK, SYD and MEL; SYD-SFO + SFO-YVR (seasonal), LHR to SIIN, BKK, BKG, SYD and MEL; some frequencies take off TO YD and MEL, SYD-JNB (seasonal F-class offer?), although a weekly SYD-JNB (Fridays ?) and SYD-SFO bus from Qantas' 2-class 747-400s (no First Class, only J/Y) is used.
F: Were there issues with hand-written ticket? You must certify that each carrier has the ticket number for the flight on them. Specifically, it is known that Cathay cancels the seat if she has not obtained the ticket number. Even though the reserving carrier should provide the ticket number to all carriers on the route, it is best to call Cathay to make sure they have it.
THE CANCELLATION OF A SEAT DUE TO MISSING TICKET NUMBER. Posting class: Footprints and status: It is a very challenging section because what you make in respect of your points and your eligibility will depend on which flight programme you wish to use. As an example, L-Class seats on BA receive 25% points if they are purchased in the QF programme, but the same L-Class ticket on the QF Code share deserves 100% QF-mileage.
Each program is based on the reservation category, so that the knowledge of the reservation category and the number of the flight/operator is in the foreground. Best practice is to thoroughly review the earnings policy for your favorite program and ask your favorite airlines in your favorite forums if you are uncertain. F: I know that the reservation categories are A, D and Lot, but what happens to my mileage when I am transferred to another category?
Generally, you accumulate mileage for the grade you are traveling in. Similarly, if you are on a U.S. home trip and your D-Ticket is placed in A stock, you will get A-Miles/Status. When upgrading single tickets, you will get the mileage for the original ticket you were on ( i.e. before the upgrade), except for prepaid WT+ up-grades where you will get the corresponding WT+ miles/status.
As mentioned above, BA Upgrade will collect miles/status on BA for the original booking made. Some have 32kg, others have 23kg, and some might have deviations (e.g. QF propeller flight in Germany has a lower limit). The above information comes from the star files, which are the rule for these (and other) starfiles.
A few very kind operators have received a copy of the rule and published it on their web sites.
