In order to make sure that the driver he authorises is secure, sincere and reliable, you must submit to an extended disclosure test by the Criminal Records Office (CRB) prior to authorisation. Keeping a recording will not necessarily stop you from obtaining a license, as it will depend on what kind of crime it was and how long ago it was committed.

PCO will also look at your driver's licence to see if you have any beliefs, but even this will not necessarily exclude you from the recruitment procedure. The PCO demands that you undergo a similar type of health check-up as a driver of large commercial vehicle, bus or coach.

Covering all options is hard, but certain circumstances such as an epileptic disorder, bad vision, insulin-treated diabetic disease and severe cardiac disease can lead to an applicant being rejected. Where possible, make this section your top priority as soon as you receive your claim forms, as an implied requirement may mean that there is no point in proceeding with the claim procedure.

They do not require the same level of expertise and skill as a cab fare drivers, as personal rentals are prebooked so that trips can be scheduled, but they do need to prove that they have the ability to schedule a trip, which includes mapping and routing: they must prove their topographic ability when returning your claim forms from an approved topographic test center.

They must be in possession of a full state driver's licence from the DVLA, Northern Ireland or the European Economic Area (EEA) and have been in possession of the licence for at least 3 years. When you have an EEA licence, you must also purchase a GB equivalent before you can submit an application. There is no reason to submit an application if you have not kept it for the necessary period of inactivity.
