Private Hire Licence Application

Licence application for private landlords

Application for the license of a private landlord The license of a private lessor is necessary for a single individual to be able to accept or load private vehicle reservations. An individual can be licenced and employ/subcontract an indefinite number of licenced cars. Nevertheless, a licenced private hire car driver cannot take reservations unless he holds or works for a licenced private hire car provider.

Operators may transfer a reservation to another private hired car owner if the hirer is also licenced by the municipality. It is the first time the general public contacts the Carrier and concludes a contractual agreement with him, even if the Carrier does not make the car and/or the chauffeur available.

Prior to issuing an operating licence, the candidate must convince the Board that the appropriate location for the licence is available and, where appropriate, fulfil any condition that may be imposed by the licence so as not to disrupt the area. When you are a car owner, you can work for any current owner.

If, however, you wish to obtain your own operating permit for rooms that are used as reservations, you will need a construction permit from the municipality authorising the use of the same. As soon as the application is filled in, please provide the following documents: Requests will not be considered unless the above documents have been submitted.
