Round the World Ticket fare
Ticket price Round the WorldThe Star Alliance is taking on Oneworld and offers tariffs at two stations around the world.
This means that busier travelers travelling to both London and New York can now enjoy most of their travel alone in these two towns without unnecessarily interrupting their travel to a third goal on the way home or taking a number of one-way trips that may be more expensive.
And there are other options - such as participating in Singapore sessions before moving on to New York or anywhere else in America for a second round of sessions or special occasions and then back to Australia. These include flights from Sydney to Singapore with Star Alliance member Singapore Airlines, flights from Singapore to New York via Frankfurt - again with Singapore Airlines or Lufthansa - and flights from New York to Sydney with United via Los Angeles, San Francisco or now also Houston.
Due to the fact that these rates involve a one-time and one-time crossing of the Atlantic and Pacific Seas, routes such as Sydney-Singapore-Los Angeles-Sydney do not work here, but can be purchased as part of a Star Alliance Circle Pacific ticket. These round-the-world tariffs also stipulate that travellers must stay at least 24 hrs in both their towns, but the entire route may contain five to 15 stopovers for more time.
Star Alliance's small paper states that traveling in Australia or New Zealand in either Australia or New Zealand for travel in Australia or New Zealand is not subject to a travel limit, so travel may be as brief as necessary. However, travel must be a seven-day trip for passengers travelling in premium economies and a three-day trip for passengers travelling in full-fare economies.
Over half of all Star Alliances around the world book in StarClass, with approximately 8% for First and the rest in Premier Economics and Economies. The Star Alliance Round the World fare offers flights with all 28 member carriers of the Star Alliance, among them Air Canada, Air China, Air India, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, EVA Air, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, Thai Airways and United in Australia Sky.
In addition, connection services can also be made with Adria, Zegean, Austrian, Avianca, Avianca Brazil, Brussels Airlines, Copa Airlines, Croatia Airlines, EgyptAir, Ethiopian Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, Shenzhen Airlines, Swiss, TAP Air Portugal and Turkish Airlines.
