Stita Taxi

Seattle Harbor and the Seattle Tacoma International Taxi Association, better known as STITA, say that some kind of taxi services are found, but there have been no talks with a taxi company, say spokespersons for both sides. Judgments obtained by STITA and other taxi operators have stopped the port from entering into a new agreement with Yellow cab, as advised by the port employees.

STITA has been in possession of the agreement to supply all taxi services departing from the port for 20 years, but the port was stabbed last year by a state inspector who cheated the port for not earning enough cash with the agreement. STITA and the port say that there was no discussion about the increase in revenue for the port.

Instead, the port published tenders for the first tenders last year, which led to the port personnel awarding the Yellow Cab tender. The STITA and other taxi operators in the region have gone to trial to prevent Yellow from obtaining the deal and have raised various issues with the evaluation of the offer.

STITA's latest submission calls on the tribunal to grant an interim order preventing the port from concluding a new agreement with Yellow Cab because it has breached the Open Sessions Act by deciding in a retreat to amend the terms of the agreement and not informing tenderers of these amendments.

These changes should have been debated in a open and open session, says Michael A. Goldfarb on STITA's name. As STITA says, it also intends to address another case to the Supreme Court to pursue a restraining order that will prevent the harbor from subscribing to the Yellow Taxi covenant. When the court begins its lull in the summers before dealing with the complaint, the interim measures against a new agreement could lead to a situation where, after the expiry of the present agreement, no agreement on the taxi journey is concluded.
