On about 20,000 ft above the Hudson River along the western side of Manhattan, the Vision Jets zip through the sky at 300 mph - obviously for the town' serene afternoon rush. With 10 years of design and $1 million in investments, the single-engine jets manufacturer is hoping to conquer the private jets segment, says Cirrus co-founder and CEO Dale Klapmeier.

With $2 million, about half as much as the nearest rival airplane, the Vision Jets is an airplane for business owners and executive personnel who are rich enough to buy one and want to own it. Vision is a mixture of jets and luxurious vehicles. "That' James Bond, Tony Stark kind of transport," says Kowalski before we embark on the vision at Million Air Airport in West Harrison, New York.

Vision is what Cirrus refers to as a "personal jet". A lot of commercial jets, like the Embraer Phenom 100, need a pilots and co-pilots, but the 30 foot long vision, which is small for a plane, only needs one. In comparison to immediate rivals such as the Cessna Mustang and Phenom, which costs around 4 million dollars, the vision is a big win, says Dahlberg. "With the $2 million prize for the plane, Cirrus has given the company a great opportunity," says Dahlberg. The brothers Dale and Alan Klapmeier co-founded Cirrus in 1984 in their parents' barns in Baraboo, Wisconsin.

Dale Klapmeier says the brethren founded the firm to make a jet so comfortably and safely that their women could travel with them. He says the Jet is the highlight of this one. Cirrus had difficulty creating the premonition. Severe economic downturn has smothered the private aircraft sector and Cirrus has been badly affected, the firm says.

According to J.P. Morgan, private jet air travel fell from 1,000 per year in 2008 to around 600. However, the sector has not yet recovered, but manufacturer excitement is on the rise. Minnesota Public Radio said Cirrus was compelled to lay off several hundred workers, and the corporation was unable to finance the vision's develop.

In 2009 Alan quit the business to found another business, One Aviation. The China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Company CAIGA acquired Cirrus for 210 million dollars in 2011 and spent 100 million dollars on the Klapmeier' aircraft. It now employs 1,100 people and is planning to construct 100 Vision Jets per year.

Cirrus has recently been accredited by the Federal Aviation Administration to begin production of the vision on a commercial volume basis. Clapmeier says that the vision is in some ways a "Bet the Company" choice. Today, the SR range is the best-selling airplane in its segment," says Klapmeier. The SR-22, a monoprop aeroplane with reciprocating engines, has been the best-selling aeroplane in its class for over a ten year period.

"We' re going to do it again with the Vision Jet. "With six jets already shipped to clients and over 600 pre-ordered, Vision has recorded "over a billion dollars in books," says Klapmeier. "Dalhberg says the sector has not returned to pre-recession peaks, but the sector is "cautiously optimistic" about consumption under a trump economic.
