In addition to the Hawaiian to Honolulu and Alaska Airlines to Maui connections, Southwest has named Sacramento as one of its gateway routes for new flights to the island - although it has not yet said which. Now Alaska Air is planning to introduce a new flight to Kona on Big Island from Sacramento.
From 20 December, the carrier will be operating three 737 flights aweek to Kona (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays). Next year Virgin Atlantic will make a big switch in its Manchester flights from the West Coast by discontinuing its San Francisco to Los Angeles run. From 25 May 2019, the carrier will be offering three flights a week from LAX to Manchester on an A330-200.
Also in the summers saison Thomas Cook Airlines offers three non-stop flights a week between SFO and Manchester. Earlier this month, Delta launched its new non-stop services from Los Angeles International to Paris Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam, where Air France and KLM as well as Alitalia and Indian Jet Airways offer numerous connecting flights.
In both cases, the carrier operates 291-seater 777-200, with three flights aweek to Paris (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and four to Amsterdam (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The Delta said that both new lines will be in operation all year round. Delta provides its clients with more Brazilian connectivity in other international exchanges through GOL extended codesharing.
From Orlando and Miami to Fortaleza and Brasilia, the flights of the Brasilian carrier now bear Delta numbers. Delta began to fly from Seattle to Indianapolis last weekend in local routing messages, so it now provides services to all its US hub from the Indiana metropolis. Delta in Seattle often brings with it new competitors with Alaska Airlines, and this is the case here - Alaska launched SEA Indianapolis flights last year.
At the beginning of this last monthly Delta started new flights from SEA to Washington Dulles and Kansas City. In the coming few weeks Delta pilots can look forward to some new aircraft. Deliveries of the first are scheduled for the end of this year, with flights flying under the Delta Connection name.
Connecticut is currently in the process of redeploying its services from Los Angeles to Sydney and Houston this year. In August and September, the normal Houston to Sydney flights per day will be reduced to three to five flights per week and, in mid-October, flights will not be operated on a few dates.
There will be frequency changes every working week in November. LAX does not fly flights to Southney on 11, 20 and 24 August or 1 and 3 September. With effect from 1 October, it will be reducing the frequency of its New York JFK-Abu Dhabi service from two flights a day to one. On October 28, the Los Angeles-Abu Dhabi timetable will be reduced from four flights a week to three.
Fronttier Airlines said it will add three new towns to its global airline grid this weekend. The season flight from Greeneville-Spartanburg, S.C. to Denver, Orlando and Las Vegas begins on 8 September with three flights a week each way. The 24th of September is the starting date for two flights a week from Illinois' Bloomington Normal to Denver, followed by three flights a week to Orlando from the 2nd of October.
In Albany, N.Y., Frontier will start two flights a week to Denver on September 17 and three flights a week to Orlando on October 2.
