Alaska Airlines 6
Airlines Alaska 6REDMOND, Ore - Starting July 6, Alaska Airlines will expand its scheduled services from Redmond Municipal to Seattle by a Boeing 737-800 with 147 seats. Horizon Air's maintenance plane will become the biggest plane RDM has ever operated, and builds on Alaska Airlines' current Redmond to Seattle and Portland airline networks, said air traffic control officers on Tuesday.
Alaska Airlines says the Boeing 737-800 "focuses on improving engine performance and reducing emissions. "There are 147 Recaro genuine leathersets ( 12 First classes, 30 Premier classes and 117 Coaches) with more room, large head compartments, backrest vents and on-board electronic control. "Redmond Chamber of Commerce is delighted to welcome Alaska Airlines with a new 737-800 day to day Redmond flight plan.
The new en-route airliner will significantly improve Alaska Airlines' already outstanding services and provide a new standard of passenger experience for both corporate and recreational travelers," said Eric Sande, the Executive director of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce. The RDM and the Central Oregon Air Services team (a gathering of voluntary workers who help win air travel to the region) said they are excited about the newplane.
A bigger plane will increase the number of passengers, giving Central Oregon passengers more opportunities to travel to other Seattle cities. "Greater Seattle is an important target for Central Oregon, so COVA is excited to see Alaska Airlines serving Central Oregon with the 737-800," said Alana Hughson, chief executive officer of the Central Oregon Visistors Association.
"It is a large two-cabin jetset that is a great asset to our tourist and business initiative. "Roger Lee, Managing director of Central Oregon's Central Oregon Division's EDCO, said: "Alaska's choice to introduce this major airline plane is a powerful sign of the company's dedication to Central Oregon aviation and the power of our markets to help grow our capacities.
" Alaska Boeing 737-800's weekly service will leave Redmond at 14:35 and arriving in Seattle at 15:50. The returning service will leave Seattle at 12:30 and arriving in Redmond at 13:40.
