Savanti does not take one-time travel, but its member ship scheme (starting at $599 per month) provides both corporate and recreational travel. Simple tickets for cruises are usually more expansive than round tours with regular tickets - sometimes up to fivefold as expansive as Secret Flying's Tarik.

If you find an exemption, it is often a one-way route operated by a low-cost airline. Would it be less expensive to buy tickets from overseas carriers in your own country's currencies and languages? Airline companies sometimes provide rebates to sales outlets and the rate of change may have changed, but tariffs still need to be re-calculated. Daraius Dubash of Million Mile Secrets sets the price in domestic currencies when traveling with an airline and uses Google Translate to overcome linguistic differences.

"Kalyakin and Protasov say that if they carry out advertising campaigns and you can use them immediately for an incentive trip. Her best offer so far - a $250 first classical fare on an A380 from Doha to Bangkok in Qatar - was acquired in this way. During a three-way promotion, the key was to buy deep discount mileage from GOL Airlines' Smiles Fidelity Programme, a Qatar Airways Brazil affiliate, and then find cheap reward travel.

Which is the best flight date? As you might expect, Tuesdays and Thursdays ( and Thursdays if you travel internationally) have the best rates - when there is less rivalry with corporate travellers and ordinary people.
