Hi! when i went to the USA, i also found ticket prices that are relatively costly in comparison to e.g. eu or easternassia ( although the distance is indeed long ). the least costly i found was the low budget carrier spiritualair, but it's the poorest carrier i've ever flown with, so you don't have high expectations and have some kind of assurance.

last year they also had a pilots strikes. and it has the poorest client support in the world. we couldn't even buy groceries on the airplane. still it's the least expensive and is very popular on the domestic US routes and on the ones to Central America and Latin America goals. note: they charge for everything (bag, etc.) a surcharge like how ryanair and their friends....... hoping that this worked......
