Are your cabin prices fair?
If you haven't lived here in Chicagoland before or travelled to our area, you probably don't know the crazy taxis at O'Hare Airport. These are very specific "rules" that must be followed when trying to rent a cab to either go to the outskirts or the town. First thing to know is that there are two different types of taxis - urban taxis and sub-urban taxis.
Let's start by talking about the taxis in town. It is possible to collect a City-Cab at an O'Hare taxiside directly in front of the terminals on the luggage area. Chicago Department of Transportation recommends that you use the dedicated cab stands to make sure you have a licenced chauffeur.
Tickets to the city center can vary between $30 and $50 per person, based on the volume of travel. If you are now on your way to a local location, please adhere to these processes to safe your precious resources. In the first place you should NOT take any CITY CABINS to the subways. You could potentially pay twice as much as a local cabin price.
Get all your baggage before you call to order your local cab. Continue to the pick-up area for local taxis, the central kerbstone next to the central traffic lane. Take the first exit on the right. The area is only reserved for picking up cars from the town. Ticket prices to the outskirts could be $25 - $75, but the remainder is simply to know that because you ordered a cab you won't be spending $50 - $150. This will take you to the outskirts without having to cost you the infamous arms and legs, plus tip (fingertip?).
