Free Leg Flights

Interkontinental flights are offered for the first one. The JetDeals membership allows JetSmarter members to reserve between two and five free places on an unrestricted number of empty flights booked at near term on the JetDeals application. It promises to provide over 100,000 free places per year for an indefinite number of members, which it says will grow at a 30 per cent growth rates.

A further member is Jet-Shuttle which provides regular charters by Part 135 partners according to Part 380 regulations. The members can select from the public lists of liner shipping companies or even order new ones. Flights from New York to Miami, for example, are carried out with a Bombardier Challenger 850 and a Learjet 45.

Every member is eligible for a free place on an indefinite number of shuttles and can also buy places for non-members. The JetSmarter members can also make ad hoc bookings for flights at the normal corporate hourly rate. Non members can also make bookings, but at higher prices.

In order to finance the increase in Charter capacities, JetSmarter has collected 52 million dollars through three capitalisation offers since July 2015. Headquartered in Delaware, the firm is held by a group of undisclosed retail shareholders. Although it would not corroborate the hourly price for JetEdge's empty routes, the figures indicate an hourly price of $10,000 on half an ordinary day.
