Hire a plane? Is there a pilot in the forums who rents a plane on Kauai? We' ll get to Kauai in 3 1/2 weak. Actually, I thought it would be great to do a motorglider class, but I'd really like to hire a GA-8 air-cushion car with CFI.

If you have information about CFI's and airplane rental, please let us know. Hire a plane? Give Wings Over Kauai a call and they may be able to instruct you to find a place to let or give you other advice. I don't know about your aviation experiences, but the circumstances here can be much different than what you need to fly in (mountains, oceans, etc.) Maybe a Wings Over Kauai trip as a pilot is better than alone.

When you' re not familiar with the geographical features of the islands and the rapidly evolving climatic circumstances in the face of the game between sea and mountain, I would suggest going up with an insular professional. Hire a plane? And I think the WOK proprietor is a licenced trainer, and your boys could be flying as college kids.

Hire a plane? PZP states that Wings Over Kauai has a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI). Perhaps not the kind of plane you want. Hire a plane? In Maui I hired and flew between the island and everywhere without an inspector on it. With Kauai I wanted to go, but it costs $220/hr with an inspector and I don't think they hire their airplanes without their pilots on them.

Hire a plane? We own a Cessa 210 and have seen it many a time. On Maui we were successfull when we hired a Cessna 172 and it was a lot of pleasure. However, we have never found anyone on Kauai who hires small aircraft, but the idea of taking a course with WOK might be your best choice.

Hire a plane? Yeah, we are conscious of the challenge of Hawaii air travel, so I said I would like to hire a qualified AFI (Certified Aviation Instructor). Only thing is that we are four and a 172 will not be big enough for all of us with an instructor unless they have the baby chair in their back:(( My 19-year-old old boy doesn't go, or I would have full faith that he rents without cbi.
