It' secure and dependable, but usually not very kortous and sometimes you can be sitting on the Sherut, whichever stop you are around Jerusalem for half an hours until they find your stop! they won't usually really help you as much with your baggage if that's a problem, and sometimes I've seen that they actually pile it back and when yours is down, they'll drop the remainder on the ground to dump it... essentially you get what you are paying for!
