Institute of Corporate Secretaries of India (ICSI)

One of the laws of Parliament is the Company Secretary Act, 1980 (Act No 56 of 1980), which establishes the Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI). The ICSI is the only recognised trade organisation in India that develops and regulates the business secretary trade in India. By awarding the Company Secretary(CS) title, the Institute of Company Secretary of India shall award the Company Secretary(CS) title certification to a nominee who qualifies for Institute affiliation.

In 1960, the Company Law Board began a course in Company Secretaryship, which led to the government diploma in Company Secretaryship. When the number of corporate secretariat course participants increased, the government sponsored the Institute of Company Secretary of India on October 4, 1968 under Section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, to take over from the government the task of conducting the corporate secretariat audit.

Since then, the Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) has been transformed into a chartered entity, e.g. 1.1.1981 under the Company Secretary Act, 1980. The Institute of Company Secretary of India (ICSI) has its head office in New Delhi and four branch Offices in New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata and Mumbai.

The best institutions in the whole wide range, our course is one of the best in the whole wide range, but the biggest disadvantage for our clients from far -flung areas is that they don't have much contact with the facilities...even some clients can't allow themselves to go very far for seminaries or workshop, which are mostly conducted in subways or big towns, and even for coaching.

The provision of the GST Account Execute course in cooperation with the National Skill Development Mission is a very good idea of our institute, but also here the pupils don't get adequate advice because the instructors in some areas (remote) don't know GST themselves and they don't attend appropriate courses or are part of a professionality.......

Therefore I would like to ask my institute to conduct a rigorous examination and inquiry for the authorized institutions for GST courses and to make available teachers with vocational background. Also my modest plea to our institute is, please make available some authorized Coaching or class-room educational service also in outlying areas.....so that each candidate receives the results of his devotion to the course and the institute.
