We' re a little worried about taking a cab to the airport in Naples. It'?s about me taking a cab so early. What can we do to make sure that the taxi is actually a registered taxi and chauffeur? Get the goddamn car to call a cab for you. A taxi ride from Naples city centre to the airport takes a maximum of 10-15 mins.

Airport is only 3 mile ( or less) from the centre of the town. You get to the airport by 5:30, you're more than early. Robert is right - 4 o'clock in the morning seems a little too early to get to the airport. I would also suggest asking your motel the pre trip date if it can arrange a taxi to the airport in due course. I ask the reception desk the evening before my trip to book a taxi for me for the next mornings.

You think Stelle is a decent/sure bet? We are only there for one overnight to take a plane home; the more I look, the more worried I become to stay in this area. The hotel is not known to me, but it is located next to the main train depot, so that one can even walk across the road and to the taxi rank in front of the depot.

You can ask the guesthouse to call you one. Officially registered in Naples, the taxi's are red, they have the taxi plate on top and carry the city of Naples's plate on their side. In my opinion, the taxi rate from there to the airport is about 15-20 ?.

Driving at this early hour in the mornings takes about 10 minutes (the airport is conveniently downtown). You' re okay for a 7:00 in the afternoon plane ride, if you get out of the motel by 5:30.
