Nfl United Kingdom
United KingdomThe first match between two UK sides, the London Ravens and the Northwich Spartans, ended in 1983 with a 48-0 win for the Ravens. Meetings in February 1984 at the Post House Hotel in Bedford brought together 35 members of the team to consider the creation of an organisation. Twenty-six clubs took part in a second session, creating two divisions - the BAFF (British American football Federation) and the AFLUK (American Football League United Kingdom) - and soon more than 40 clubs would be playing full soccer.
Admittedly, some recessions caused gamers and crews to fight for financing. But the two divisions could not solve their disagreements, and a third division, the United Kingdom American Football Association, was created from the Birmingham game. Budweiser launched a 300,000 pound endowment to promote sports in the UK after a proof-of-concept analysis. In 1986 the Leicester Falcons and Birmingham Bulls gambled to see which UK squad would be the first step into Europe.
In 1990 there was also a sponsoring contract with Coca-Cola in the NDMA-Liga. In 1991 the World Football Football Association was established and the UK-based London Monarchs took home the first World Bowl. To regulate the match at grassroots ball and field levels, the BAFL (British American Football League) was established in 1998.
After the BAFL collapsed in 2010, the BAFA (British American Football Association) was formed to manage the Bundesliga and the football world. The home match in England, Scotland and Wales is organized by the BAFA (British American Football Association), which runs a range of football leagues as the BAFA International Football Group.
North Ireland clubs take part in a local tournament in Ireland organized by the International Association of Independent Amateurs (IAFL). It is also one of the disciplines organized under the auspices of the BS Sport, which runs a Bundesliga tournament as the BS football division.
The United Kingdom has seen various matches of the National Football League (NFL), the most important pro sporting division in the United States. American Bowl was an NFL pre-season contest that took place from 1986 to 2005 in various places all over the United States. Wembley's initial stadium in London housed a combined eight of these matches in the eight matches from 1986 to 1993, and was initially the only location for the first three years in which the Bowl was a single match, and then one of the various sites as it gradually extended from two, three and four matches.
There were two UK sides in the NFL sponsored developing football division, founded in 1991 as the World Football Leagues (break 1993-94), re-named NFL Europe in 1998 and finally dissolved in 2007. Monarchs of London took part from 1991 to 1998 (renamed Monarchs of England for the last season).
NFL International was opened in 2007 to stage NFL matches in the normal NFL seasons outside the United States. At the new Wembley Stadium in London (rebuilt and re-opened in 2007), the range rose from one to two matches for the 2013 campaign, to three matches for the 2014 campaign and then to four matches for the 2017 campaign.
From 2018, the show will be transferred to the Northumberland Development Project, although the matches can still be performed in Wembley Stadium. As a result of the International Series' triumph, there has been much talk that London will become the home of an NFL France. Starting with the 2015 NFL seasons, NFL will be broadcasting NFL matches on Sky Sports, a pay-to-view TV station that expanded its broadcasting activities progressively after it entered the 1995 NFL seasons, as well as three Free Audio BBC matches - two International and Super Bowl.
Sky sports surplus for 2015 included 103 lives, among them Thursday Night Football, Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football, plus two or three more Sunday matches a day, as well as the entire off-season and the Super Bowl. ITV, Channel 5, ESPN UK and British Eurosport were other TV stations that have already broadcasted NFL matches in the UK.
