In the event of changes or cancellation before departure, please refer to the member company that made out your e-ticket. Should you need to make changes to your travel route during your trip, please check with the carrier that made out your ticketing or one of the carriers you fly with on your travel route.

Remember that cancellation and/or route changes that necessitate redirection will result in modification charges and/or services fees11. There may be limitations on trip classes and miles/points may only be accrued on bought fare. Entrance is not available to members of the AAdvantage who are traveling solely on routes within or between the United States, Canada, Mexico (excluding Mexico City), the Bahamas, Bermuda and the Caribbean.

Notice that some planes may not provide First or Businesss Class staterooms. Miles and step points are only earned from qualifying rates of the cabine category you fly. The Premium Economy is available on American Airlines, British Airways (World Traveller Plus), Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Japan Airlines (between Asia and North America) and Qantas flights with this additional charge.

For your first intercontinental journey (and all previous domestic flights), you must obtain your tickets before the start of your first itinerary. Other flights may be kept open (i.e. without confirmation of numbers and dates) provided that each flights is booked before take-off.

Charge will be made for changes and cancellation of the itinerary: In the event that the price has risen since the date on which the tickets were issued, the price differential between the old and the new price shall also be calculated. There will be no reimbursement if the price has fallen since the date on which the tickets were issued. Once the tickets have been issued, cancellation reimbursements are possible for all non-used trips, with a 10% Economy Class and 5% Business/First Class surcharge.

Tariffs are restricted to unavailability and maximum available space and charges may be made for changes and cancellation of itineraries. None of the other flight codeshares are allowed, with the sole exceptions of Qantas (QF) flight codeshares run by Air Tahiti Nui (TN).

IB tickets cannot be used if a NU managed route is part of a route marked by QF and sold by QF. If a PG managed trip is part of a route, the AA/IB/JJ/LA/LP/NU/XL/4M quota cannot be used. Due to U.S. federal limitations, if a fare involves travelling to/from/via Cuba, it may not contain air segment for American Airlines, American Eagle, AmericanConnection, Alaska Airlines or Horizon Air as well.

It is not permissible to advance to either Industry Category with a business or First Category. Travelling between the USA and Canada does not constitute travelling to and from Canada internationally for the purpose of this tariff.
