Whether it's a stag night, a honeymoon trip, a honeymoon or a New Year's Eve BBQ, there's one important issue that everyone seems to think about: Can you get drunk in a van or charter bus? Whereas the Swiss TEA-21 Act bans open tanks in every car, there is no Swiss Act on Persons Driving Mini Busses, Charter Busses, or Other Pay Carriers.

These include all types of spirituous beverages: beers, wines and spirituous liquors containing half a per cent or more of spirit per unit of volume. There may be law, however, prohibiting you from legal access to a charter bus. If you are planning to book your bus, ask your reservations agent about your nearest liquor law for each stop on your route.

Are charter bus companies allowing liquor on boards? About 80% of bus companies allow alcoholic beverages on boards, but often charge a security bond or charge for possible inconvenience. It is best to keep to canned beverages and cosmetic mugs, as most suppliers ban barrels or bottled glasses to keep the bus tidy and secure.

When you have minors on your aircraft, you may be asked to take accompanying persons with you to make sure that minors do not drink alcohol. In California, if you reside in the state of California, you must appoint a guardian over 25 years of age for all minor travelers, as the AB 45 bill requiring corporations operating catering busses to take charge of minors' drink.

If your bus operator allows it and you keep the bus clear, secure and legally for minors, it should not be a hassle to bring liquor on the bus. Inquire again with your reservations agent and thoroughly verify your booking to make sure your bus allows breath. Please ask your reservations agent to advise your chauffeur that you will be taking liquor on board. Respect your drivers and keep traffic noises and other disturbances to a bare minimum to make sure your journey is secure.

Avoid any rioting behaviour that could harm the bus, your riders and your drivers. Cleaning yourself up out of politeness and to make sure you get your down payment back. Prepare to present evidence of lawful consumption with a current ID, such as a driving licence. Bathe a lot of fresh boiled down waters to spend a safer and more enjoyable evening.

Check with your reservations agent to see if cool boxes are permitted on board to hold beverages and refreshments. As in other places, do not bring on board bottled water or barrels and for safety's sake glue with tins and jars and clean more easily in case of an accident. If there are minors, make accompanying persons available.

Drivers reserve the right to stop the bus and end the journey if minors start to drink. Whilst you can enjoy your drinks, please do not smoke or bring illicit materials or guns on the boat. Make sure you gather all your things and don't abandon anything. It' s not difficult to loose your overview on a single overnight stop, but your bus is not liable for the lost of your possessions.
