Single Pilot Certified Business Jets
Certified business jets for one pilotIf I were able to buy one right now, it would be the PC24, unless the CJ4' s additional reach was indispensable for the mission to be accomplished. The majority of the things about these three are about the same - without a data file, the pilot's manual or the like, most of these distinctions would not be apparent, except in some areas where the PC24 differs:
Cab. PC24's cab is the largest in all sizes, but above all it is much longer, which allows more loading. PC24 is engineered to come out of a 3000-foot long lawn belt while the others require longer, surfaced panels. In particular, the length of the take-off and landing runways allows the PC24 to bring you nearer to your goal, which saves overtime.
These jets are too small to support an air unit, which among other things means that if you don't have a air unit connected, you can't run environment control without having to sit in the dashboard while the motor is on. PC24 is the first aircraft to use Williams' new "quiet energy mode", in which an unpowered motor can generate output by imitating an air unit without having to take all the additional load with it.
This is a good review of 5 of the quickest single pilot jets. Embraer Phenom 300 is the biggest of these single pilot planes. Normally, the larger they get, the more performance you need to shove them through the skies, and the larger and more capable planes have different types rating and demands and as such they also need a second pilot.
The biggest plane you can pilot with a single pilot is the Embraer Phenom 300 with a maximum takeoff mass of about 18,000 pounds.
