to SriLankan Airlines. Being the newest member of OneWorld - they came in April 2014 - I had frankly little news of the carrier before I started planning my journey to Sri Lanka. When I flew with one of their new Airbus A330s to Sri Lanka, I was happy to see the offer on the 3-hour and 25-minute plane between Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Whilst I requested an update at check-in, all places were filled as SriLankan Airlines have implemented a new Bid for Businessclass system on their website (more on this later). The MAS Golden Lounges of Malaysia Airlines are open to those in SWISS Saphire and Emerald Cards and those in SWISS Saphire and Emerald Cards.

Regarding the lounge, it's one of the more convenient lounge I've ever had. All SriLankan Airlines has two class of service - Business and Economy - on all flights. It' s a curious shift because I usually like to be the last one to be on board!

Sri Lanka Airlines' A320 is a 2-4-2 configured A320 Family. A gear was preselected at the rim of one of the medium 4-seater configurations (online it seemed to be the only option), but the aircraft was only half full, so just before takeoff I asked a cab companion if I could move.

Whilst the pilots went on board, the humans were shuffling between their "ideal" seating and what was assigned to them. As I was asked a member of the booth staff if I could switch places as the boating came to an end, I got a weird look and said if the place was free, I could just move.

I noticed two things when the cab was being set up for takeoff that should have been handled for security purposes, but not when the flight crews were going through the cabin's security procedure, this seemed to be an incentive for the passenger to speak LOUDER almost so far that it was useless for the flight crews to even try to gamble and inform us about security.

There was no arrival of the cab crews, who checked whether the passengers had stored pockets and objects before the start. Sitting was quite comfy ( although towards the end of the ride I got a middle case of "numb butt"), but legroom was out. A330's Wi-Fi is available on some SriLankan Airlines planes during the flights, but this was not the case on my one.

Shortly after the launch the team gave me a small package (see picture above) containing my arriving arrival charts and a free Mobitel mobile phone simulator. We used Mobitel in Sri Lanka and it far surpassed my global mobile phone number. Thought these little packages would be a great thing for visitors traveling to Sri Lanka, but when I asked my friend who was traveling from Europe or other parts of Asia if they had got one, I was informed that they didn't.
