Becoming a Pilot - Steps, Costs and Justification

In order to be a professional pilot, you must fulfill higher exacting health requirements than amateur flyers and should obtain a first grade doctor's note from an Aeromedical Examiner (AME). You do not need a pilot's license to begin your pilot course, but you do need it to be able to go alone during your schooling. Begin your air travel education and work on acquiring the necessary skills and experiences to become a professional pilot. You must take the computer-based FAA Privatpilotenwissenstest (private pilot test ) during your pilot education.

In order to take the examination, you must obtain confirmation from your flying instructor. Please note that your teacher will not be able to give you a copy. Finally, to obtain your FAA Privat Pilot Certification, take a hands-on test with a DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner). The examination includes both an spoken and a flying part, and on completion you will become a Privatpilot.
