Sri Lankan Airlines Qatar (Qatar)

SriLankan Airlines and Qatar Airways sign new code -share agreements Both Qatar Airways and SriLankan Airlines, members of the on-eworld airline alliances, have intensified their collaboration through a bi-lateral code-share-relation. The two airlines will mutually split services between their hub airports - Qatar Airways' three times a day Airbus A340-600 service to Colombo and SriLankan Airlines' three times a day Airbus A330-300 service to Doha.

Combining four Doha-Colombo services per day offers clients added comfort and versatility. Qatar Airways travellers to Colombo now have access to the Maldives' beloved Maldives vacation spot. Travelers also enjoy accrued airline mileage and other benefits around the world, such as roomy lounge facilities, additional luggage charges, preferred check-in and boarding, high-speed safety passages and discounted rates on both airlines' network. The Daily Doha (DOH) - Colombo (CMB) schedule:

Srilanka Airlines vs. Qatar Airlines - Sri Lanka news board

The ratings I have seen about Qatar are generally very upbeat. We have done this before and they always make it, if necessary, by postponing the departing flights. Sri Lankan is "average" and Qatar in UK-Doha is "exceptionally good". There is nothing bad with the Sri Lankan facilities, quite cheerful and good meals/drinks, but most aircraft age and the conversation is finite and a little too often ruined.

Happy birthday, & [Sandya] / next months on Srilankan but also several time on Qatar..... Neither did we fly with one of the two airlines, but the flying time with Sri Lanka airlines was better for us. We' ve been said that they are a little like the feared monarch, but we always see the wings as a means to an end and endure the monarch much better than some will.

So last Thursday we did book a Saturday plane (for less than a Tuesday flight) and we agreed with the flying time. Hello, the A340 from Sri Lanka are getting older and older, but they are well serviced. My 4 planes this year have provided me with outstanding services. On Sunday a Sri Lankan colleague in Frankfurt informed me that an upgrade is scheduled until December 2010.

By the way, SriLankan Airlines are heads and shoulders above everything Monarch has to say!
