Super Private Jets
Great private jetsThis example of maximal cruising distance is predicated on average cruising speeds under ISA condition, 85% statistic average sea breezes and default reserve fuels. This intention is only for comparative reasons, not for flight scheduling. Effective power depends on the flight condition date. The aircraft long term approaches are predicated on zero gale, ISA condition, no airstrip or landing strip or thermal limitations, and two passenger at long distance cruising speeds.
Superb Bowl private jets by numbers
The Super Bowl is always a hectic period for private planes. Recent Super Bowls have seen between 1,000 and 1,500 private jets flying to the hosting town. Please be aware that these are market place enquiries, so not all are met and turn into real flight. As Avinode noted, the Houston flight numbers last year accounted for almost half of this figure.
More than 90% of Avinode applications relate to Minneapolis-St Paul International Airports (KMSP), the nearest US Bank facility. You will see a smaller number of inquiries for Anoka County-Blaine International Airports (KANE), about 10 leagues northern of the downtown area and the arena. As you may be able to anticipate, there are many northeast departures, as well as Boston and Philadelphia.
The KBED is the most important private jets hub in the Boston area. From Boston to Minneapolis, the 1,100-mile distance is well within the limits of most lightweight jets, so these could be an optional extra if only 2 or 3 travel. Flexjet, the fraudal and jets ticket company, sees its holders fly to all three Minneapolis aerodromes, but the most beloved is KMSP.
Some of Flexjet's own pilots fly into KFCM, about 11 nautical miles from Minneapolis city center and St. Paul Down Town Airport (KSTP), which is about 12 nautical miles away from theadium. Individually they welcome every Flexjet arrive and fulfill all the needs the owner has on the way to or from the match through the terminals.
Flextjet says the jets will be equipped with his and her Flexjet Super Bowl recovery kit for the journey home. "No matter whether our homeowners have a NFL connection, receive corporate customers or spend valuable hours, they know they won't want to travel with Flexjet," said Megan Wolf, vice president of Owner Experience.
Wheels Up, a private aerospace member firm, has over 100 moves into and out of the larger Minneapolis area for the Super Bowl this week-end. King Air's main flight (95%) is to Anoka County-Blaine Airport (KANE), while Citation Excels and other flight are operated on Minneapolis-St Paul International (KMSP) and KSTP, with only a few going to St Cloud Regional Airport (KSTC).
Here, too, the bulk of these departures come from Philadelphia, Boston and New York. At St. Paul Downtown Airport (Holman Field, KTSP), NetJets creates its own fully serviced FBO. NetJets is expecting approximately 250 NetJets missions to and from the Minneapolis area around the Big Game era.
"Over 50 NetJets operational co-ordinators - from IT to planning, operation and transport - will be traveling from our Columbus, Ohio facility to Minneapolis to make sure everything runs smoothly for the owners," said Diana Oreck, EVP of Owner Experience at NetJets. NetJets FBO has a private hotel suite with private lounges, bars, catering and television.
On-board, the owner will be served a dedicated Minneapolis departure meal, and on the floor they will be given preferential chauffeur prices and an invite to an exquisite Saturday evening super party. FAA forecasts more than 3,500 extra takeoffs and landings for the Super Bowl and nearly 1,000 extra planes on the floor.
Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (KMSP), St. Paul Downtown (KSTP), Anoka-County-Blaine (KANE) and Flying Cloud (KFCM) will close some airport runs to create extra car parks for all planes on the floor during the match. FAA has enacted Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) that include a 30-mile ring centred above the arena and from the floor to an elevation of 18,000 ft.
TFR will have no impact on regular services, but on private services. We think that the smartest move for big shows like the Super Bowl can often be made by those who fly to smaller, more local aerodromes. Major airfields such as KMSP will see so many aircraft departing on the Sunday evening after the match that take-off points can extend well into Monday afternoons.
So if you use an aerodrome a little further outside the city, you often get off the road much faster.
