So, this mornin', I was billed $55 to go from times square to yfk. Thought the course was 52, has it cost me too much or do you have to pay tax or something on the 52 to earn 55? And you only pay $55? I would think from what is read here is that $55 is a good prize, thought that it is higher!?

Fifty-five dollars is a terrible prize. You should have payed $65 to $70! One does not stop at tolling stations to buy road charges, they are all bought in electronic form.
