Taxi serviceThe focus of this study is on passenger contentment with the taxi service in Doha, Qatar.
Quatar is a wealthy development economy in which taxi services are generally regarded as a means of transport due to the restricted use of buses and the deeply dominating use of cars by emigrants and Canadians. It is the primary aim of this research to determine the characteristics of the taxi service.
There was a deskriptive study that was carried out that related to the demographics, reachability and travel objectives of taxi drivers in general in Doha with the overall service satisfactory. An equation structural model was used to evaluate the taxi service attribute that affects user perceptions of user contentment. There were two different types of model developed: one was a relation between user demographics and user happiness, the other between travel times and user happiness.
In the first case, the assumption is supported that incomes are the greatest attributes in demography, followed by family status, old-age and occupational attainment. Conversely, the latter showed that wait is the most contributory factor among the periods that taxi drivers spend, followed by walk from work to railway stations, travel and walk from house to railway stations.

Please notice that the price in the timeframe 20.12.2017-05.01.2018 is 8 eur/500 RUB for Zone 1, 11,50 EUR/750 RUB for Zone 2 and 16 EUR / 1050 RUB for Zone 3. A taxi can transport up to 4 people. It is the duty of the customer who uses the taxi service to forward the hard copy of the receipt for the taxi service to the taxi operator.
