One nice teenager made a flight with the carrier a little simpler for a visually impaired and hearing impaired man who flies alone. 15-year-old Clara Daly travelled with her native Boston to Los Angeles with Alaska Airlines early this weekend as she used her signing knowledge to better communicate with Tim Cook, who flew home from his sister's visit.

The flight steward asked during the flight whether anyone knew signing, and then Daly came in to help. Lisa Scribner, a female on board the flight, recorded the particular moment between Cook and Daly as the teenager knelt next to him on the journey. In a Facebook mail, Scribner said that the people on board were all smiling and enjoyed Cook having someone to speak to.

She studied sign language for a year. Concerning Cook, a Brookdale Senior Living contractor hit him at the gates after the flight landed in Portland. Says the flight was the best journey he ever took.
