All Alaska Airlines Partner Points

With Alaska Airlines, we are a valuable Starwood Preferred Guest airline partner offering great redemption offers. May be extremely restricted when redeeming miles or points of the partner airline. Sometimes Alaska's partners have better premium prices.

Benefit from transferring SPG points to Alaska Airlines

It is a loyal programme that differs from other programmes. Enables members to assign 1:1 star points to most of their 36 airline partners. In addition, you will receive a 5,000-mile reward for every 20,000 Star Points you earn in a frequent-flyer programme. Or in other words, 20,000 star points are 25,000 worth of mile on most SPGs.

This means 1.25 air mile per SPG point, which is a great value. Marriott Rewards points have also become more precious with the recent fusion of the two. Now Marriott members can move 3:1 points to Marriott. For the most part, you will get more of your Marriott Points if you first commit them to SPG instead of committing them directly to a MFA.

In most cases, SPG provides airlines with much better than Marriott transfers. A big characteristic of SPG is that it has singular airlines partners like Alaska Airlines, which it does not share with any other programme. This means that the only way to get points to Alaska is via SPG, and Alaska's Mileage Plan is an outstanding itinerary.

These are some great ways to get the most out of your SPG points after you've transferred them to Alaska. With the Alaska Mileage Plan, the only U.S.-based Frequent Traveller Programme that provides free stops on unilateral rewards travel in the U.S., the Alaska Mileage Plan is the only one in the U.S. to offer a free stopover on unilateral rewards travel in the U.S. You can even make a stopover in Alaska if you fly with a business carrier such as American or Delta.

Unfortunately, Alaska and Delta will end their relationship on April 30, 2017. However, you can also make reservations before this date, as well as trips that take place after 1 May. Last year American downgraded its miles overview and Delta downgraded all its BPAs over the past two years.

But Alaska still uses the old American and Delta Awards chart to redeem awards. This means that you can earn many mileage savings by booking American and Delta through Alaska. You can, for example, make a one-way ticket with American to Europe or South America for 50,000 nautical miles in the shop and 62,500 nautical miles in the first, to Southeast Asia for 55,000 in the shop and 67,500 in the first or to Australia for 62,500 in the shop and 72,000 in the first.

Looking for award in economics you can still get America's old off-peak repayment installments on the old data. Between 15 October and 15 May you can reach Europe for only 20,000 nautical miles per route. Remember that Alaska offers you free stops at U.S. hub locations that you can't do with the U.S. GA Advantage programs.

On all its long-haul US departures, Delta has dramatically boosted the level of premiums in Blue Line on all its long distance routes, from 62,500 to 70,000 mph for Europe, from 62,500 to 75,000 for South South America, from 70,000 to 85,000 for the Middle East and from 80,000 to 95,000 for Australia.

You can still get the old prices if you make a booking through Alaska. But the only downside is that you can't get any awards on Delta via the mileage plan. Booking a flight to South America is possible in an awarded LAN Premium Business location for only 45,000 Alaska mile or in Business for only 25,000 mile.

You can also take a quick break to Cuzco while you are there and savour Machu Picchu. Cathay Pacific has good access to Alaska for Premier Classic Award travel, and the carrier can take you beyond Southeast Asia. They can take Cathay travels through Hong Kong to the Middle East, Africa, India, Australia and New Zealand.

US complimentary travel begins at 50,000 mile and first class-based travel begins at 70,000 mile. This is significantly less expensive than Cathay Pacific's own Asia Mail programme. Whilst the repayment instalments of Japan Airlines (JAL) in Alaska are not as good as under its own Mileage Bank programme, they are still good deals.

Only 70,000 Alaska mileage is required to reach Japan in first Class and 75,000 for traveling anywhere in Asia. It' not always simple to find a premium awards fit, but you can find it if you make a reservation long before your trip. Again, Alaska's free stop over can be very precious.

One way South Pacific departures to Fiji Airways are 40,000 Alaska-mile. However, for only 55,000 mileage you could instead travel in your next flight, which would be your next flight in your business class. Qantas, another Alaska affiliate, also has very low premiums in the premier category. A one-way flight to Australia or New Zealand is available for only 55,000 commercial and 70,000 first-class miles.

You can see that there are many ways to use Alaska mileage. This makes them a great SPG transport mate. Consider maximising the value of your star points by moving them to Alaska and benefiting from one of these great offers.
