The full amount must be paid at the same moment as the on-line claim is filed, so please make sure you have a current bank account or debt at hand before starting the procedure. System does not run the request until it has been paid. When you need to provide a copy of a document, please use our on-line function available on the submission evidence website.

Notice: Do not use the on-line function to provide proof of the Disclosure and Blocking Services as your records must be personally inspected and checked by a Licence Holder. As soon as a validity request has been made, the license official: Council requires candidates to fulfil the same standards of aptitude as other civil servants such as coachmen.

As soon as all inquiries have been answered satisfactory and you have successfully taken the Council's knowledge test, the request will be accepted and the license made. They will contact you by phone when your license is finished and ask you to visit the City Hall for definitive review. Please be sure to take your driver's license with you.

Given that the turnaround times depend on external determinants such as the DBS and the DVLA, it is strongly recommended that candidates do not give up any other form of work until the granting of a license has been approved by the licensing department. In the event that an applicant does not comply with the normal Council norms for drone driver and car rental driver, the case may be submitted for decision to the Council Approval Complaints Committee.
