A Boeing 767 was run in an All-Use 220 seating arrangement and one of 100 flat-bed configurations. The Boeing 727 was taken out of operation in 2012 and the overall economic Boeing 767 was divested. At the end of 2015, the VIP Boeing 767-200ER was superseded by a Boeing 767-300ER.

At the beginning of 2016, the plane was completely overhauled and equipped with 96 first-class reclining berths made of full-skin. Privately chartered planes have a sufficiently illustrious corporate identity - it's all about leg room, soft furnishings and a cab that's free of weeping kids and big elbow-shaped passengers. Nevertheless, the stereotype Privatcharter is a relatively small plane - it offers up to 50,000 ft of luxurious comfort in a 20 metre long package from front to back.

But there is also a whole plane beyond the luxurious jet: the VIP plane, a race of airplanes built on shared airliners not far from winged structures, or "flying palaces" as described in economic journals such as Forbes. Also, with all the $100m to $500m needed to own a VIP plane, what could you get?

How do the largest and best personal aircraft on the aircraft scene actually compete? First thing a kid asks about any means of transportation is how quickly it drives - but when compared to VIP airplanes, actually speaking, velocity can be less of a sales argument.

Most of the aircrafts can achieve the 900km/h limit as shown in the above chart - about 559mph. The Boeing 757 and 767 can achieve a speed of 980 km/h, while the BBJ2 reaches the top with 1,000 km/h. Secondly, it should be noted that the numbers here are the readily available specifications of commercial airliners, usually burdened by chair benches and other parts discarded for VIPs.

Only the BBJ2 - Boeing's Business Jet, one of the few off-the-shelf VIP aircraft, is an exceptional one. Actually, as far as the top velocity specifications go, any other customized airline is likely to be able to reach velocities far above the passengers' models - as long as you don't get too mad about the extra tight marine interior.

It is only the highest of the world's wealthiest high-flyers who will ever be able to buy their own VIP plane, which raises the question: Which is the highest flight in the series? 41,000 ft has long been an entrenched civil aviation limit, and the vast majority of VIP planes can achieve this level if needed.

The 757 and 767 can move that a little higher because they carry less mass, but are fitted with similarly efficient power plants - Boeing says the 767 can travel at heights of up to 43,000ft. Boeing 767 (shown as a business jet ) is one of the largest and highest performing aircraft in the world.

Again, the above figures mirror capacity for passengers on business services (with the difference of the 737 BBJ2, which is specifically an export airline). A whirlpool could accommodate 80 densely crammed chairs, a salon a 160: the wide-bodied aircraft (such as the 747 and 767) give the cabin much more room to breath.

However, the typically high utilization of Boeing Business Jet aircraft available directly from the manufacturers gives us an impression of the available standards: Bigger VIPs like the 747 are made "green" available to their customers, who then order a tailor-made cabin from specialised stylists - because if you are one of the 12 VIP B747 owner in the world, you can probably buy something very special.

Apart from the fact that you just have more room in these bigger planes, there is no clear winners here - VIP planes are all available for individual work.
