Taxis is a Gibraltar popular music band formed in 2005 after the dissolution of Melon Diesel. Following the dissolution of the band, the members broke up into two different bands: Taxis (Dylan Ferro, Dani Fa and Danny Bugeja) and Area 52 (Guy Palmer and Adrian Pozo). While the latter played in English alternate rock music, Taxi remained faithful to the Spanish fans of Melon Diesel and composed Spanish tunes. 1] Their tunes have a certain resemblance to Melon Diesel's, though more optimistic with more popular influence.
Though the band never issued an offical PR when Melon Diesel disbanded in 2003, there were differences of opinion as to which languages the songs should be in and in which directions the band moved[3] Although the messages were a surprise to their supporters, it seemed that the clash of interest had been going on for some now.
Soon after Melon Diesel's breakup, Ferro, Fa and Bugeja began to resume their career as musicians and performed various Gibraltar based gigs under the name No Eye Dear (in cooperation with another band, Chango Mutney). A while later, the three developed their major idea, which was to become Taxi.
