There are a number of airline companies offering point-to-point and point-to-point flights to India from the UAE, often every day, among them Air India, IndiGo, Jet Airways, Etihad, Emirates, SpiceJet, Oman Air, Gulf Air and Qatar Airways. India has many major international airfields, but the most important are Indira Ghandi International in Delhi, Chhatrapati Shivaji International in Mumbai, Kempegowda International in Bangalore and Chennai International Airport in Chennai.

The New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airports is situated 16 km south-west of Delhi. Driving takes about 30 min by auto or cab. Delhi Metro's orange line connects New Delhi Station with New Delhi International Station 3 in just 25 min. There is an air-conditioned shuttle every 30 min from Terminals 3 of the International Airports to Kashmir Gate via Red Fort, New Delhi Station and Connaught Place.

The Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airports is 30 km from Mumbai. Driving takes about 30 min by auto or cab. CST Terminus and Churchgate are available for Mumbai flights to Mumbai and throughout India. Busses 321 and 308 link the airports with the city's metro system.

BEST 312 and 321 buses run from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 respectively to the nearest Vile Parle East railway terminal. The 35 shuttle buses connect the aerodrome with Dadar railway terminal. The Bangalore Kempegowda International Airports are located 25 mile from Bangalore. It takes about 50 min by auto or cab.

The Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation operates an international airports transportation bus to various places in the capital from the airports. On each of the nine itineraries, there will be at least one regular scheduled bus every 30-minute. The Chennai International Airfield is situated in Tirisulam, 12 km south-west of the centre of the city. Driving time by auto or cab is about 45 min.

As an alternative, Southern Train Services run every 20 to 40 min from early AM to night, lasting approximately 30 min. Outside the terminal there is also a busstop, which is relatively far away from the terminal, where the 18A busstop often goes towards Chennai center, which takes 45min.

Nov. to March is a good period to get cheap flights to India when air temperature is slightly colder and better to enjoy the beach and explore towns on walking distance. Can be oppressively warm in May and June and are also busy periods for tourist.
