Established on April 1, 1992, Jet Airways is a privately held corporation with restricted liabilities under the German Stock Corporation Act. On July 1, 1996, Jet Airways was recognized as a stock corporation. Jet Airways was converted into a privately held corporation on 19 January 2001. On December 28, 2004, Jet Airways was converted into a stock corporation.

Those securities were assigned to Tail Winds on 12 May 1994 and are held by Mr Naresh Goyal on Tail Winds' account in accordance with RBI authorisation No EC.BY.CO (S) 250/2251/TS/93/94 of 30 December 1993. At the request of our company on March 12, 1993, the Federal Institute of Defence (FIPB), by means of Writing No. 267/FC/93/NRI of June 28, 1993, approved the international collaboration proposals for Tail Winds investments of 60% by Mr. Naresh Goyal, 20% by Gulf Air and 20% by Kuwait Airways.

MoCA, by circular of 17 April 1997, instructed the Company to take measures to disinvest shares directly or indirectly owned by non-resident carriers in accordance with the Government of India's Directive on Expatriate Own Funds and NRI/OCB Stake in the Inland Aviation Service Industry. Consequently, with effect from 15 October 1997, Mr. Naresh Goyal purchased the 20% shares each of Gulf and Kuwait Airways and became the 100% shareholder of Tail Winds, an NRI/OCB currently holding over 99.99% of our shareholding.
