What would it take for the quickest combat plane to fly around the globe?

Planet earth has a shallow sphere that reflects in its aquatorial and meridional orbit. Compared to the equivalent, the planet has a perimeter of 40,075,017 km or 24,901,461 mile. However, measuring from point to point, i.e. along the line of the meridians, the planet has a perimeter of 40,007.86 km or 24,859.73 mile.

North American X-15 is the quickest crewed airplane ever flown. The plane currently has the fastest human airspeed in the history of the game. His top velocity was Mach 6.70 (approx. 7,200 km/h) and was reached on 3 October 1967. So IF it could maintain its maximal velocity during travel, it could theoretically fly around the globe in just over 5.5hrs!

It would take a little over 11 on the same ride. ALWAYS neither of them could maintain these amazing velocities OR had the stamina to finish the journey and had to be refuelled in the open sky. Theoretically, the SR-71 could end the journey with a series of KC-135Q tanks specifically designed to wait in the right places, but it has never been tried and unfortunately ALL SR-71s ever built are now in retirement, so we'll never know!

1992 an Air France Concorde reached the highest speed non-orbital round-the-world in 32 hour 49 minute and 3 second. This is the quickest trip according to the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) regulations, which allow trips exceeding the length of the Tropic of Cancer or Capricorn (36,787.6 km or 22,858 km). eight miles), one of 31-hour 27-minute 49-second was from an Air France Concorde (Capts. Michel Dupont and Claude Hetru) from JFK in New York, USA, east via Toulouse, Dubai, Bangkok, Guam, Honolulu and Acapulco on August 15 and 16, 1995.
