The things I really adore and dislike about the Karwa App

His first part of the show looks at Mowasalat's Karwa Taxi Reservation App. Recall the time when you had to wait under the glowing Qatar sun to see your rescuer - a Karwa taxi - appear on the street? that you were about to jeopardize your own existence just to get to the taxi.

Since then we have come a long way, and since January this year anyone who owns a phone can order a Sea-Green Taxi with the Karwa app from Mowasalat. Whilst it is good that the 12-year-old state-owned transportation firm makes it easy to order a taxi in Qatar, Mowasalat is just caught up to rivals such as Uber and Careem, both of whom have been in Qatar for over two years.

I have used all three applications a lot in the last few month, and Karwa is third. Instead, it will be a structural survey that will show both the good and the evil about Karwa and make proposals for improvements. Only after ordering the taxi does Karwa provide an ETA (Estimated ETA).

On the other hand, both Uber and Careem can display an ETA to the user before ordering. Karwas ETA is still imprecise even after ordering due to my own experiences. The majority of ticket reservation applications create an ETA on the basis of the number of available cabs and the distances between you and the available cabs.

Carwa does not use any kind of algorithms to create an ETA. Instead, a local taxi rider has three choices when ordering a taxi: five-minute, 10-minute or 15-minute. First, the user receives an ETA only after the request of the journey. Therefore, I suggest that Mowasalat take over an algorithms ETA for his Karwa application.

Perhaps you think: Why not just reserve a taxi in ahead? Personally, I like that I can reserve cabs in advance, hat off to Karwa, to add this function. A taxi ordered for 2:00 is supposed to be arriving at 2:00. Karwa will notify the driver 10 min before your reservation if you reserve a taxi in Advance.

If you order a taxi in anticipation for 14.00, Karwa will inform the taxi at 13.50. It' s another tale whether the rider will arrive in five or 20 mins. I' m not prepared, so I tell them I'll be out in a few moments, which can upset them. But on the other side the riders came much later than the chosen lap times.

And I don't think the driver is even informed that the client ordered the taxi for 14 o'clock. I believe this because I tried to tell the driver that I prebooked the taxi and will be out in a few moments when I can walk, but they had no clue what I was saying.

If you order a Karwa taxi, you are expecting to receive many alerts. Write a message to your mother, "Help me that I am in danger," and order a Karwa at the same with it. You' ll get more alerts and phone alerts from Karwa. Karwa sends too many messages. Somebody might have ordered a cab and then shut down the cell phone.

You will be prompted to use the Karwa app on your phone in the text messages to make your reservation easy. In reality, however, I would suggest that Karwa let the user choose what kind of notification they want: app notification orms. Fortunately, you can use Karwa to reserve a taxi to get directly to your destination. Karwa has a few other minor issues that aren't really valuable, but it's definitely a good idea to point them out.

First of all, taxi cabs can tell you to leave and Karwa won't even let you know. Approximately six alerts are sent when you make a booking, but none when the trip is cancelled by the chauffeur. A few moments later I went outside and he wasn't there.

It' s these unique events that could make Karwa loose a loyal client. Solutions include preventing riders from cancelling trips as soon as they get there, or notifying the user when a rider is cancelling a trip. Meowasalat is large and sufficiently located to offer the best ticket services in the state. Some years ago the term "taxi" in Qatar was tantamount to Karwa, just as "search" is tantamount to Google.
