sedanGerman limousines are limousines, while cars with extended wheelbases are known as stretch limousines. The wealthy owner of costly cars and their occupants were used to having their own personal cabin in which to leave their cabmen or drivers outside in all weather conditions. Further variants were the saloon landscape with a detachable or foldable section of top above the front passengers' seats and the de-ville saloon with a fixed top above the front drivers but a detachable or foldable section above the driver's seats.
