Srilankan Airlines Change Flight

Sri Lankan Airlines change flight

SriLanki Airlines Change Their Fees - Air Travel Forum In June I had 2 departures from London to Colombo with SriLankan Airlines for a 2-week vacation (Out Busines, Re-entry Economy). Meanwhile we have found out that for outside causes we have to bring our holidays forward by one year. Our holidays have been arranged through a tour operator who informed us to change our flight to one less day, the fee is 280 per passenger.

Impressed that the management charge for this type of change was nearer to 50 per flight, so almost 600 for both of us seems too high, which is more than just making a New York departure for one on the same date! Has anyone experienced any changes to such flight schedules and associated fees?

Not sure if our agency will charge additional fees, but I can't see the fees described somewhere on the SriLankan Airlines website. You' ve canceled a flight with any carrier? The cost will depend on the tariff regulations of the purchased tickets. That'?s for any carrier.

Not misconduct, just a client who doesn't pay much heed to what he buys and then thinks that regulations don't hold for him. Padam, you must get in touch with the person you have contracted with an air carrier or tourist agency. What did you do to reserve your tickets? In addition, the amount also depends on the category of the tickets you bought.

When you have a low priced tickets, it usually cost more.

Date change of the Sri Lankan airlines

Hi everyone, I recently arrived in Sri Lanka with Sri Lankan Airlines (N-Class) and was due to depart in the first February weeks, but due to recent familial issues it would be good to remain in the UK for at least a months. I returned in Q-grade and when I went to the Colombo Bureau I was told a fare of 82,000 pounds (£380 / $536) to change my flight date, which is a great deal considering that my whole fare was less than £500 (~$700).

For airlines like Oman Myllykoski, the first date change is free and for the second you only have to spend 10,000 pounds (£46 / $65), so this seems silly. I guess there's no way I can get some kind of reimbursement for the returned portion of my tickets?

You have to ask the Sri Lankan Airlines counters because I don't know on what fares base you are... because you said that you recently came to Sri Lanka without specifying where and when you began. When you need to remain beyond the expiration date of your tickets, the change in price includes the change charge, the change in reservation category and the change in price base from possibly a 30-day tickets to a 6-month one.

One cannot make comparisons with other airlines like Oman Air. Maybe the tariff you were on before didn't have a change charge. That'?s what most airlines do. Now for your tickets, it will be what the terms of the tickets are like. The best thing is to get in touch with Sri Lanka directly as you are in Sri Lanka because I do not know the terms of your tickets.

Simply giving me the reservation grade without knowing where you began is of no use to me. And that you won't get any refund.... Then just buy a way back to the place you came from if it's less expensive.

and my homecoming was for February 3. and my homecoming was for February 3. When'?d you buy the tickets? Where' d you buy the tickets? On the basis of your N and Q reservation class, it appears to be a specific ticketing issue from the person who treated you in this case so that you can best turn to the initial issuing company or UL.

You will be the best to inform you of the tariff terms, e.g. refund, if any. This is Sri Lankan, who has flew with SriLankan Airlines umpteen time. SriLankan Airlines has been quite respectable in historical terms when it comes to date changes. I did this several time ( even with rebate ticket ) and only had to paid a change charge of ~LKR 2.000 + the price differential between the data (if any).

Please be aware that they have never had a "First Change is Free" guideline (to the best of their knowledge), with the exception of Full Price BPs. As for your ticket - I am not aware of Sri Lanka's tariff category code, but from what the employees have said, I have the feeling that it is a specific promotional tariff category, which does not allow for appointment changes.

My suggestion is that you go to the SriLankan Airlines website and use your PNR to see your reservation. On this page you will find a pushbutton with the name "Fare conditions" (or something similar), which opens a pop-up with a pile of clear text - the transport tariff.

It should list the change charge (and whether changes are possible at all). Unfortunately, Sri Lanka is in great difficulty financially these times; even if its staff are friendly with your job, they probably have very little room to go beyond the requirements of your tickets.
