Taxi Stands in Rome

Could someone point me to the Rome maps that include taxi ranks throughout the entire town ( either on-line or one I can buy in a shop)? Is it possible to find a taxi rank in the immediate vicinity of every subway stop? The only place I've ever seen a taxi is the railway yard (not the metro) (i.e. the terminus and Traastevere station).

I' ve been renting three flats in Rome at subway stations that I used at least every day, and I don' t recall ever seeing a taxi near them or at the Metro-Sotps where we got off. That won't help you with your ticket issues, but I used taxi stands outside the Area Sacra (on V. C. Emanuele), opposite the Colosseum, in the Fontana del Tritone at the top of the square, outside the Vatican on P. St. Pietro and near Castel St. Angelo in nearby area.

was the only one where the price was too high. First taxi wanted 13 euros for what we knew was a 6-euro trip because it was a minivan. The second one did not switch his counter to area 1 and we bought 9 Euros.

Out of all the Rome cards that are in my chart, the only one I could find that shows taxi ranks is the Hallwag card released by Rand McNally.

There were also often stands near large construction yards or railway yards. It'?s not too difficult to stop a taxi on the road, except when it rains and during peak time.
