LAKELAND, Tenn - A Lakeland familiy is questioning the security of a recreation area. Last Wednesday, the NPH surrendered a $750,000 complaint against Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure park in Cordova, Shelby County Circuit Court. The complaint was lodged by two relatives on whose own account the boy was wounded on a ropes course in the grounds in September 2017.
"He was given a seat belt by a coworker, and after wearing the seat belt, he was informed that he was willing to leave," the wife claimed in the appeal. An Urban Air trampoline spokesman gave an explanation to the FOX13 in a voice mail. Municipal Air officials would not debate the particularities of the suit, but they said that the host familiy has undersigned a disclaimer.
Upon signature of the renunciation, the parent also confirms that Urban Air will not assume any health care costs. Neither did the FOX 13 news come back from the FOX 13 where they were asked for further comments. Families claim that Urban Air staff did not do their job, and Urban Air did not provide sufficient training on security.
It would also be used to pay back salaries that had been missed, as they said they had "lost working time" because of the accident. Nationwide, violations in trampolines are an "emerging problem", as a survey in the Official Journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics shows. There was a "significant" rise in the number of casualty admissions due to accidents in street trampolines, as the leisure trends are becoming more and more common in US cities: "Additional research and strategy is needed to avoid accidents in street trampolines," the report concludes.
ROX13 spoke with families in front of the Trampolinpark in Cordova, who take their children to the theme park to let them burning power. Shelby County resident Tim Ware said staff must stay concentrated in the in-door parking facilities.
