Vivocity Taxi Stand
The Vivocity taxi standExcellent location, but no taxi rank - Rating of Vivo City, Singapore, Singapore, Singapore, Singapore
I' d say one of the largest malls in Singapore is downtown Vienna, unfortunately there is only 1 door from the taxi stand. If you are the other entry, you have to go so far away to get to the taxi stand. Guys just stop the cab when they see one.
I asked them if they knew where the line was, they said they didn't know and took the taxi there. So we were out here for our last trip to Singapore to take the funicular to Sentosa and have dinner at Vivo before having a quick soda at Raffles before going to the Singapore International Airports.
As Singapore's largest mall, we thought there would be many great restaurants. But the place we finally found was quite horrible (King Louis Grill - see seperate review). It was a great wastage after the nice stroll in the Orchard Road. We went to a taxi after dinner for a short drive back to Raffles, but the line was so long that we would have waited a literal hour, so we ended up getting money (two automatic teller machines we tried were broken) to buy rail passes, and by the end of the day it was too late for us to go to Raffles.
This was a complete wastage and I'm so happy that I didn't spend my free hours going there the next workday before. It is not pictorial either, it is quite industry and despite the position of the waters it is not attractive. From VivoCity you only have to take off for the Sentosa Islands if you have not hired a heliport.
Otherwise, whether you travel by single rail, coach or your own personal vehicle, you would have to enter ViVoCity. Eating and drinking were extraordinarily high. Therefore I support the advice that has been given to me by others who said: "Get your bottled warm wine before you get to Sentosa".
I' d rather say go get it before you come to VivoCity. Apart from that, they have good shops for men and woman. It is one of the best retail centers in Singapore. Nicely situated on the promenade and a beautiful eatery that opens onto the promenade and offers a beautiful panoramic vista of Sentosa.
