Customers must foot all bridging and tunnelling charges. On your voucher you will find your overall tariff inclusive of road-charges. Travellers are liable for the payment of all bridging and tunnelling charges. When using a motorway access road link or motorway tunnels, a bus or coach operator must use an E-Z passport and hand over the reduced amount to the customer.

At the end of the journey, the amount of the road charge is added to the measured price. It is a lump sum of $52 plus toll, the 50 Cent MTA State Security Charge, the 30 Cent Improvement Security Charge and $4.50 rush hour security charge (16:00 to 20:00 on business days, without public holidays).

An improvement surcharge of 30 cents is levied. Districts Westchester & Nassau: It is a chargeable ticket price. Tariff displayed on the monitor is'Tariff #01 - Standard City Rate' within the city bound. As soon as the taxi crosses the city limits to Nassau or Westchester, the display should show the following message: "Rate #04 - Out of City Rate to Nassau or Westchester".

The measured price is twice as high as the amount from the city limits to your final destinations. In addition, a warning should appear on the monitor to inform the passengers of the tariff changes.
